Children & Youth
St. David’s Episcopal Day School, founded in 1955 by St. David’s Episcopal Church, offers classes for ages two to five and provides Extended Care for enrolled students. Children of all faiths are welcome.
The Day School holds a Chapel service weekly, alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:15 during the school year. All are welcome.
Youth Group
St. David’s has a continually growing youth group program that includes fun activities, service projects, meeting new friends and growing in God’s love.
Child Care
Care is provided for young children by qualified employees from the Day School during the 10:15 Eucharist. In addition, a changing table is conveniently available in a handicapped accessible restroom.
Outreach
As disciples of Jesus, we are guided by his words, ‘Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me’ (Matthew 25:40) and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ (Luke 10:27). These teachings inspire our unwavering commitment to a wide range of ministries within the broader church and community. Each year, allocations from the parish budget, representing 12-14%, along with generous contributions from parishioners and friends, contribute approximately $60,000—if not more—in charitable donations. Bible Study
The Bible Study group meets on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm in the Great Hall during the months of September through May. The first meeting of the 2025-2026 season will be on September 18. All are welcome at any time. Contact the Parish Office at 302-475-4688 for more details.
Sunday Morning Adult Formation
Beginning on Sunday, September 14, 2025, Fr. David Andrews will begin a small group study focused on the teachings of the 16th century Spanish mystics, Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. We will read and reflect on the works of these two mystics during the 2025-26 program year and discern how their teachings impact us today on our own spiritual pilgrimage. Needles of Creation
Needles of Creation is the official parish needlework and craft group at St. David’s. The group meets year-round on the Second and Fourth Tuesdays of each month at 4:45pm in the Memorial Room. The group is open to all needleworkers and crafters (or those who love the needle arts and crafts) and new participants are welcome at any time. In addition to individual works, the group shares skills, patterns and ideas to create special projects for the parish and community. Women’s Spirits
Women's Spirits is a fellowship for all women to share thoughts on a wide range of topics, which have most recently included pets and souls, our mothers, meditation, prayer, and wisdom. All are encouraged to propose and lead a topic of interest. There is always lively and laugh-filled conversation. Bring a coffee and enjoy the provided snacks. The group meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00am in the Memorial Room, from September through June. The first meeting of the 2025-2026 season is on September 13. Wisdom Seekers
Wisdom Seekers is the parish's book study group. Members meet weekly on Tuesday mornings 10 - 11:30am from September through May via Zoom. Participants buy their books from their favorite booksellers or online from Barnes & Noble, Amazon or other vendors. Among this fall's selections are Christianity after Religion by Diana Butler Bass, James by Percival Everett, and Being Disciples by Rowan Williams. All are welcome to join at any time.
