Lenten Quiet Day: Praying with the Scriptures
Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 9am to 1pm
Praying with the Scriptures (Lectio Divina) is an ancient spiritual practice of the Christian Church. The season of Lent is a time to be intentional about beginning or deepening a life of prayer. On Saturday, March 7th, Fr. Michael and Fr. David will be your quiet day guides using the ancient practice of Lectio Divina. Fr. David will begin with a brief overview of the Lectio process followed by periods of reading the scriptures (the Gospel stories that we will be read on Lent III, Lent IV, and Lent V). After a brief introduction of the process we will invite participates to find a quiet place at St. David’s to slowly read the appointed scripture passage with time to sit and be still and to journal what moves you in the passage.
